Offering a stunning 21-mile coastline along the Pacific Ocean, this is one of the most popular seaside cities in America. One of the geographical attractions of this area is that most Malibu beaches face south - offering a touch of paradise for those who love the sun!

Despite its reputation as a star magnet, Malibu tends to be a remote city - many celebrities make their homes, or weekend retreats, in Malibu, and the privacy of the stars is well protected with a gated area, only a few lucky ones can personally past - as long as you walk below the tide line, however, you can walk on the beach in front of many houses belonging to the rich and famous! Some beaches are private, including some nudist beaches, but these beaches are in remote locations. If you want to see the sights of Hollywood and maybe hang out with the rich and famous in an informal setting, you will find that Malibu is the right place to visit - you never know who you might meet on the beach!

Even though Malibu is not a place to find attractions and amusement parks, this is a place where you can enjoy some of the best coastal scenery the world has to offer, and this area is not without some interesting things - including the Malibu Pier which was damaged by the storm, but has now been restored, and Sierra Retreat with beautiful gardens.

Because strict parking laws are enforced in Malibu, it might be worth paying a little extra for accommodation near the beach if you are only there to sunbathe and surf and leave rental cars for tourists who are not so knowledgeable!
